Posted on 30 November 2013 by wyoskibum

POWELLTON, W.Va. – A Jan-Care ambulance crew was treated and released from Charleston Area Medical Center Tuesday morning following a traffic accident in Fayette County.

The two-person crew was responding to a medical call along Elkridge Road in Powellton when the driver lost control of the ambulance sending it over an embankment into Armstrong Creek.

Jan-Care Director of Operations Paul Seamann said neither worker was seriously injured. He said another Jan-Care ambulance completed the medical run and transported the patient.

An investigation into what happened is underway.

The ambulance crew involved works out of Jan-Care’s Valley Division in the Montgomery-Gauley Bridge area.
