eMedic for iPhone/iPod Touch
Salt Lake City, UT – January 12, 2010
Iterum, LLC announced the release of the original mobile application for prehospital medical professionals, eMedic, on the iPhone platform.  The original product, PalmEMS was released in 2001 for the Palm Operating System.  Over the years the product has evolved and expanded to include the Pocket PC (Windows Mobile) and Windows PC environments.  The database now contains over 1500 records that are searchable and extensively cross referenced with the “See Also” button.
The application was completely rewritten to take advantage of the iPhone’s unique interface. According to Project Manager, Ray Coleman, “eMedic has always been a popular product. By supporting the elegant iPhone platform, the experience is further enhanced to make an even stronger product”.  “Many of our customers have migrated to the iPhone and we recognized the need for this product”.  said Coleman.
The prerelease version includes the algorithms, acronyms & abbreviations, emergency medical treatments, and medicine records. Medical calculators will be offered in version 1.0. The prerelease version is being offered at a 30% discount for a limited time with a free upgrade to version 1.0.   Users can purchase eMedic directly from their iPhone or iPod Touch or through the App Store on iTunes.
