SPARTA, TN – Sparta police charged Tony Jason Sullivan, 33, of Spencer, with burglary, on Nov. 16, after he was found inside an ambulance parked at White County Emergency Medical Services building.
According to Police Chief Jeff Guth, Officer Brent Copeland was dispatched at approximately 1:18 p.m., to the EMS building on Medic Drive, about a burglary in progress.
Guth stated an employee of the ambulance service saw a person inside one of the ambulances, sitting on a cot facing a narcotics box wearing a surgical mask.
Sullivan was reportedly unable to supply an adequate answer to why he was there. The report also states Sullivan’s vehicle was parked some distance away from the ambulance service.
Copeland arrested Sullivan for burglary. He was taken to White County Justice Center under a $2,500 bond.
Sullivan’s first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 20.
